Home Made Siomay - Chinese Indonesian Cuisine

My friend made me one of the best food on my B'day. It is called Siomay. According to Wikipedia.com, Siomay is "an Indonesian steamed fish dumpling with vegetables served in peanut sauce."  This is one of the best Siomay around. It is home made. But Siomay is more like traditional chinese Indonesian cuisine. It can be made of fish or chicken or pork or even shrim or mixed.

This one is perfectly done with lots of moisture, fresh taste, and very delicious. The way you eat this is you dipped it with the sweet spicy sauce that comes with it (as shown on the picture). If you have peanut sauce, you can use it as a sauce as well. You might can get this at Dim Sum restaurant, but it is a lot different. Come one, as a food lover we need to try every food from each different continent. This one is happened to be from Indonesia.

Oh I forget the orange stuff on top of the meat is small peeled carrot. So, this one basically is pork dumpling mixed with secret ingredients and cover by dumpling sheet. Oh...just described this thing makes me want to eat again. Anyway, if you want it, you can go to Indonesian restaurant or you happen to know Indonesian people that can make this for you (you know what I mean)...

hehe...Thank you for reading and I will post more food soon.

Have a great day and happy eating...

Spring Roll at Moto Japanese Steak & Sushi

The Best spring Roll. Yes, It is. I mean look at the picture. It filled with vegetables and some meat....It is very delicious though...With a little sauce, as you see on the picture, it is spicy, sweet, and sour sauce. The way you eat it is dipped the roll to the sauce, eat it, but don't double dipped again yo, it's nasty.

Actually I got this roll for free, because one of my friend work here. I think the name is spring roll, but I am not sure. I don't want you guys wrong order. But anyway, the vegetables is fresh, delicious, and crisp taste.

If I could give you guys suggestion, is always to order appetizer before your entrée. The reason being is usually appetizer cost a little cheaper than entrée, so you don't have to order too many entrée, especially in Chinese / Japanese food. Also, the 2nd reason is usually appetizer don't have a big size, so if you are the person who likes to try something new or different, appetizer is for you. The 3rd reason off course is if you're really hungry, appetizer can filled a bit, before the real entrée comes.

Anyway, this spring roll is from Sushi Moto at Cumming, GA. Here is the full address:
Moto Japanese Steak & Sushi
655 Atlanta Rd
Cumming, GA 30040

Enjoy guys...the price in this restaurant is cheap, so don't eat too much...:)

Fruit Bowl at Hangbok - Happy Karaoke

What else to order if you're singing so hard?? Yeah, that's right. It is a bowl of fruit. The fruit in this place is fresh, sweet, and lots of fiber in it. They put a small umbrella, fake leaf and small presentation; but they all adds perfection of eating fruit.

I remember I was full after dinner, but when I see the presentation of this fresh fruit, I can't resist those. I mean look at those picture. Colorful, so fresh, and looks so healthy. It consists of orange, green grape, red grape, apple, peach, watermelon, melon, pineapple, banana, strawberry, and kiwi. Wow...it's that complete, guys. They give you toothpicks wrap with color wrapping on top just for decoration. I think they did an excellent job of presenting fruit.

Remember this is a karaoke place, so you eat the fruit one bite at a time and sing and eat again and sing. So, just make sure you grab the right toothpicks, not someone else...:)

Anyway, if you haven't tried go to private karaoke before, it is actually a fun place, you don't have to be a good singer to go here. It is also not a bad place or for bad people...it is private room for your whole family or friends, so you're not with strangers inside, and off course no one knows if you're a terrific singer (you know what I mean)...

But this one is at Atlanta, GA..Here is the full address:

Cannoli Siciliana at Provino's Italian Restaurant

Yes, another desert. Love it. Especially if Italiano desert. Different, fresh, and delicate taste of balance perfection in every dish they create. This one is Cannoli Siciliana desert. It is actually pastry horn filled with traditional ricotta and chocolate bits. It is one of the best desert around.

It sweets but not too sweet. It is not too much like any other desert. You know after your last entree, you can't eat that much anymore, this one is perfect size. One pastry with lots of white stuff on it. Look at the picture, the white stuff is not actually a cream, but it's actually a sweeten ricotta. Very delicious. This one is on Provino's restaurant in Cumming, GA. If you live in Georgia or visiting Georgia, you should stop by this one. It is the freshest and the finest ingredients in town. Oh ya, the restaurant itself is very private, old town design, and has lots of wine collection.

Crispy Thick Cut Calamari at HHprime

Who doesn't like Crispy Calamari, right?? If you don't like what you see, it's probably you don't like seafood or you're blind. I am sorry, it is one of the BEST of Crispy Calamari around the world. This one is on fine dining HH Prime (steak & Seafood) at Hilton Head, SC.

The picture is fresh cook Calamari with flash fried Wasabi Aioli. The sauce is so good that you want to lick the sauce plate. That words "Aioli" is garlic with olive oil and some other small ingredients plus wasabi in here. If you see the red sauce is actually hot sauce (yeah, this fine dining actually give you chili hot sauce)...so that this aioli thing has a perfect balance of saltiness, moist, sweet, and with a little kick of Wasabi. Oh...man perfect..I would just put the sauce with anything...so yummss...

The best way to eat it is grab your fried calamari, dip it on the sauce, and slash with that hot chili, bite it, and...hmmm...double dip it again to that Aioli if no one sees it...Just Kidding..don't do it, it's nasty...But the Crispy Calamari is perfectly cooked, it's not oily, but it's not dry as well. Great Job HH Prime...

If you ever visit Hilton Head, this is the full address of the restaurant:
23 Ocean Lane
Hilton Head, SC 29928

Oh..If you ever eat there, can you please to go that Crispy Calamari with the sauce for me..Thank's..appreciate it...Trust me...It's that good...

Lobster and Shrimp Mac ‘N Cheese at Gordon Biersch

Oh my..this one is irresistible food. The taste is as good as it looks. It's a creamy lobster and shrimp with bowtie pasta. It cost me $19.95, but trust me it's one of the best $20 I have ever spent. At 1st, I thought, another pasta, are you kidding me? But it turns out to be one of the best food around buckhead, GA.

The Sautéed lobster with shrimp tossed in creamy parmesan-havarti cheese sauce and bowtie pasta. The description speaks itself, right... I order this with Beer Sampler ( I think it cost around $6, but you get 6 different beer on the table). You know, pasta and beer, that's like inseparable twins, if ya know what I mean :)

Ohh...I forget to tell, it looks like a small plate, but it's deep full flavor inside that dish, will make you just enough full. The lobster and shrimp so fresh and the pasta taste like home-made yo mama made :) The different is just you need to pay it yourself this time, not you mama..hehe..

If you're interested, they have several location through out US, you can check them out on the web site. But this one is on Buckhead, Atlanta, GA. Here is complete address:

3242 Peachtree Road NE
Buckhead, Atlanta, GA 30305

Oh..I think behind the restaurant has LA fitness, so you can work out after...you know...to stay in shape all the time, to try another food....hehe
