Home Made Siomay - Chinese Indonesian Cuisine

My friend made me one of the best food on my B'day. It is called Siomay. According to Wikipedia.com, Siomay is "an Indonesian steamed fish dumpling with vegetables served in peanut sauce."  This is one of the best Siomay around. It is home made. But Siomay is more like traditional chinese Indonesian cuisine. It can be made of fish or chicken or pork or even shrim or mixed.

This one is perfectly done with lots of moisture, fresh taste, and very delicious. The way you eat this is you dipped it with the sweet spicy sauce that comes with it (as shown on the picture). If you have peanut sauce, you can use it as a sauce as well. You might can get this at Dim Sum restaurant, but it is a lot different. Come one, as a food lover we need to try every food from each different continent. This one is happened to be from Indonesia.

Oh I forget the orange stuff on top of the meat is small peeled carrot. So, this one basically is pork dumpling mixed with secret ingredients and cover by dumpling sheet. Oh...just described this thing makes me want to eat again. Anyway, if you want it, you can go to Indonesian restaurant or you happen to know Indonesian people that can make this for you (you know what I mean)...

hehe...Thank you for reading and I will post more food soon.

Have a great day and happy eating...
